BLOK started in a Denver apartment with a heat press, a Shopify trial, and a strong opinion about how streetwear should be made.
Shop the DropWe got tired of paying premium prices for clothes that fell apart in six months. We got tired of brands that looked the same as every other brand. And we got extremely tired of fast fashion pretending to be something it isn't.
So in 2019, Dre and Marcus started BLOK out of a Denver apartment with a heat press, some heavyweight blanks, and a very strong opinion about what streetwear should actually feel like to wear.
The first drop sold out in 72 hours entirely via Instagram DMs. The second one had a waitlist. By 2022 we had a proper studio, a proper team, and a proper website built by Marqlex.
Every piece we make has to pass one test: would we still wear this in five years? If the answer is no, it doesn't get made.
We work with three factories. We've visited all of them. We know the people who make our clothes by name. That's not a marketing line it's the actual reason the quality is what it is.
BLOK will always be independent. We've had acquisition offers. We've said no to all of them. The brand is ours. The clothes are built for you. That relationship doesn't need a middleman.
This is what BLOK's site looked like before Marqlex. Scroll both panels. Everything you see is real including the problems.
